Introducing The Ultimate Girls Trip series, where I’ll be sharing itineraries for the perfect girls getaway. So what better way than to kickoff this series with a trip to Cabo? This was planned as a bachelorette trip, but our itinerary is perfect for any group trying to make the most of the area over a long weekend.
As much as I love traveling with my partner, there is a magic kind of feeling to giggling with girlfriends over drinks, gasping over sunsets and delicious plates of food, and simply being silly taking photos of each other. As friends grow into different stages of life, it’s increasingly difficult to line up schedules and find time to travel together the way we used to. A few years ago, we decided to go for it again. And a spontaneous trip sparked new traditions for spending time together.
Beautiful and sunny Los Cabos is a perfect place for the girls. There are plentiful resorts for every budget, and an abundance of activities on land and at sea make it a great fit for every kind of traveler.

Day 1: Touchdown in Cabo
SETTLING IN
Our getaway started on a Friday, and with our crew flying from both U.S. coasts, it made sense to get in before noon to maximize our time. After grabbing some essentials on way to our house from the airport, we settled into our Airbnb.
Travel Tips for Arrival: Uber can be used in Cabo, but if you have a large party, it’s best to book transport ahead. We used Cabo Shuttle Services and they were also able to add a grocery stop on our way to the villa.
We stayed in an area east of downtown Cabo San Lucas and it was a breeze to get around from there. There are many resorts and restaurants in the area, and downtown was a mere 15 minute car ride away.
DINNER TIME
Our welcome dinner was at Casa Martin in Cabo San Lucas. The restaurant is located beyond a wooden doorway, and stepping through it feels like entering a hidden oasis. Their garden has a spectacular ambiance, and the food was vibrant and easy to share.
Tip: If going out after a travel day feels tiring, I’m also a huge fan of hiring a private chef and staying in for the night. Many villas offer this service directly, and it can be a great way to try local cuisine while cozying up with the girls.
Day 2: Yacht Day & Evening Out
YACHT & SNORKELING
When in Cabo, it’s a must do to see the distinctive rock formation known as “El Arco” at Land’s End. With a group of our size, chartering a private yacht for half a day was the perfect way to spend time on the water.
We started with a round of drinks and a tour of El Arco, getting up and close with the landmark. There were even manta rays and sea lions dancing around in the water! Lover’s Beach is also within reach, but we headed out to open waters in search of some snorkeling.
Depending on weather conditions, there are different places a boat might take you to snorkel. We anchored at Chileno Bay and enjoyed a delicious lunch spread in between swimming and paddle boarding. As our boat time came to an end, we blasted the music and headed back to Cabo Bay.
Maybe the wind made the water murkier, but I will admit the snorkeling in Cabo was not the best I’ve had. However, relaxing on the boat was still a perfect activity and I’d highly recommend getting your crew together for this. Don’t forget to pack Dramamine!
We booked our trip through Seashine Adventures, and their food selection was truly impressive. There are also plenty of operators that offer different packages and accommodate varying group sizes, like this one on Viator.
SUNSET HAPPY HOUR
After recovering from a day in the sun, we set out for a rooftop happy hour, just in time for sunset. There are some amazing spots to watch the sunset in Cabo, and we went to The Rooftop at The Cape hotel to get a view from above.
The views from this rooftop are gorgeous, and the vibe is sleek with glass paneling and striped upholstery. Their drinks are delicious and if you stay past sundown, the vibe gets livelier and the music gets louder.
DINNER WITH A VIEW
If you’re looking for a fine dining sit down restaurant, hop right on over to Sunset Monalisa for cliffside dining. It’s conveniently located next to The Cape, and is another beautiful space where the arrangement of terraced tables offer a direct view of the ocean.
We opted for their set menu, but they do offer a la carte as well. The kitchen here serves Mediterranean flavors and turns out creative plating. Note that the set menu does mean a longer dinner, but watching the sky change from sunset to evening was pretty magical.
AN EVENING OUT
Now if a night out dancing is a must for you and your girls, Cabo also has you covered in the nightlife department. A quiet night in is usually more my speed, but on a bachelorette trip we had to check out the nightlife.
There is one area downtown that is the place to go. Our evening started (and ended) at El Squid Roe, a multi-story dance club that is an impressive sight to behold. Another popular spot is Mandala, which has locations in Cancun and Playa del Carmen as well.
Day 3: Desert Oasis
For our last full day we headed northeast to San José del Cabo. It’s about a 30 min drive from Cabo San Lucas, and known to be the more laid back of the two towns. We spent the day hopping around properties that made us feel like we stepped into an oasis in the desert.
BRUNCH AT FLORA FARMS
Our first destination was Flora Farms, a restaurant and 150-acre ranch that serves Bloody Marys piled high with fresh veggies and boasts an on-site spa. Compared to how highly this place is recommended, I did feel that the experience was overhyped. However it’s certainly an impressive development with very solid food and a great option for large groups.
Note that the restaurant is shaded, but it can get hot. We appreciated the staff bringing over cold towels and helping adjust the fans for our group.
DRINKS & DINNER AT ACRE
Once we had a chance to walk off brunch, we headed to Acre Resort for drinks and dinner. This is another property with a large farm, and there are even treehouses that guests can stay in, with peacocks roaming the grounds.
We loved the food and ambiance here, and it was a perfect farewell dinner for our group. Plus, the photogenic palm gardens and soothing incense that wafted through the space made it an easy place to spend our afternoon and evening.
Day 4: Farewell Cabo
Our final day was a travel day, and we took our time getting up and heading off to the airport.
For those who want to extend their trip, I’d recommend trying a different property/resort to stay at to get a different flavor of Cabo. There are also many other activities to try, like hiking Land’s End or embarking on an ATV ride through the desert.
I actually stayed one extra night to check out The Cape, where we had drinks during our girls weekend. It’s a fantastic, luxurious property that you can read more about in my review of the hotel.
Until next time, Cabo!
