Imagine hearing waves crashing behind you and feeling the ocean breeze as you check in. There couldn\u2019t be a better welcome.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the property are two pools, the main infinity pool with a swim up bar and a smaller, more secluded saltwater pool. This means you&#8217;ll be ocean-front throughout the entire property so you can\u2019t really go wrong here.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our room was a two queen bed with an ocean view, and let me tell you, it was so spacious. I love when rooms come with ample seating and this room did not disappoint. Not only did we have two huge armchairs and table across from the beds, but there was also a separate sitting area at the end of the room, and swings with a patio table outside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bathroom is stocked with amenities in their signature scent, which is divine. It is a frosted glass on the side that faces the bedroom, and clear on the bathroom side. This was no problem for us, but if you are planning to share the room with someone this might be something to consider. The frosted area of the glass was definitely enough coverage so that nothing is visible from the bedroom, but it\u2019s certainly not the same as having a wall there.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Spa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We were so excited about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hyatt.com\/thompson-hotels\/cslth-the-cape\/spa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Currents Spa<\/a> and it turned out to be our favorite part of the hotel! Booking ahead is recommended and they offer a ton of options from massages to facials to salon services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After checking in and donning our robes, we walked through a cavernous tunnel and emerged to an unobstructed view of El Arco in the distance. This area is only accessible to spa visitors, so it is the picture of tranquility. The space has a regular pool, cold plunge, and sauna. Plus loungers and chairs that face the ocean. It had dark colored walls and ceilings, but very little decor. I didn\u2019t notice any florals or candles to soften up the space and give it a touch of luxury.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After our treatments, we were led back out to the spa pool area and enjoyed a little post-massage treat on the loungers. We proceeded to relax in the private pools and essentially had the entire area to ourselves! The on-site restaurant from acclaimed chef Enrique Olvera (of Pujol in CDMX and Cosme in NYC) is in a beautifully designed space that offers indoor and outdoor seating.
